Bike Abraham Path

A trip for experienced and sufficiently trained mountain bikers. Real mountain biking, mostly in the desert. Superb spots!

the bikes were new and of good quality. They were, however, put to the test: 2 broken derailleur hangers, ten punctures.

Alaa, our guide, proved to be an excellent guide and an equally excellent mountain biker.

The accommodations were all very good, especially the two Bedouin camps of Tar el Qamar and Abou Ismaël. The breakfasts and evening meals were very good.

The logistics during all this stay were flawless knowing that this country has to fight with enormous constraints … We crossed magnificent landscapes! The quality of our mountain bike guide, his professionalism and his enormous kindness, his judicious improvisations … allowed a dialogue and a more than warm welcome with the Palestinian people. The bicycle trip really facilitates contact with the population. Be careful, this trip is still for trained people because there are big climbs (you can also do it on foot). Also pay attention to the period, we had two very hot days (in May) and the area is still quite desert. Our group benefited from a warm understanding, perfect harmony and a consistent sporting level which made our stay most enjoyable. During this stay, you will appreciate breathtaking more or less arid landscapes, a relationship with the Palestinians eager to give you the best of themselves and you will have I think the feeling of what this country can endure in short a proposal of extraordinary trip …

On Abraham’s path we discovered yet another new desert. Magnificent landscapes through hiking. Great encounters with the locals. Besides the religious side of the visits to Jerusalem and Bethlehem which is impressive and a huge masquerade I must say, this trip will leave traces on the fate of the Palestinian people.

“Magnificent Trip”

A magnificent journey on this Land combining the Sacred Land and the daily reality of the Palestinians, a place so beautiful that everyone wishes to own it. The hikes are magical through the desert and the religious or historical vestiges that we meet will amaze us as the days go by. Loved the sunset over the dead sea. Visiting the city of Hebron left me speechless. This city alone sums up the political situation of the country. The local cuisine is delicious. If you go there at the end of December, it is very cold. Plan a sleeping bag that can go up to 0. A review of the stories of religion is also an added comfort.

A beautiful trip, super rich, human, cultural, etc. We must be ready to live with the reality of Palestine and the Palestinians (daily, logistical, political)! We come out jostled and enriched, with the desire to return.

This trip allowing to see Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron, Jerusalem, the holy places, desert monasteries, the Dead Sea and waterfalls where one can bathe (a little over frequented), to sleep at the living in Bedouin and refugee camps, to meet “NGOs”. It was hot from 25 to 35 in the desert, beautiful walking time in the mountains…
